About Me

Hi, I'm Lora. I grew up in the Philippines and moved to Canada (and saw snow for the first time) seven years ago.

As you browse this website, you'll notice that I write about Asian dramas and British period dramas a lot.

Sometimes I try to apply the lectures I learn from school.

Sometimes (more like most of the time) I write about what I feel.

I write about all sorts of things, but these things make me who I am. So even though I write about the craziness of k-pop (Big Bang!), an article or video that resonates to me, my vacation and travels, or a stressful bus ride, at the end of the day, I will always look back at my roots.

Long or short. Constructive or objective. Comments are very much welcome. Thanks. :)

  1. Hi! Just stumbled upon your blog and I like the stuff featured on it. I happen to watch a lot of Asian dramas/movies as well, but I got really excited when you mentioned that you enjoy watching British period dramas. I got hooked into some BBC mini-series a few months back-- I saw North and South, Wives and Daughters, and The Way We Live Now along with a few episodes of Shakespeare Retold-- so I'm looking forward to hopefully reading about your opinion on the ones you've watched when you find the time to post them. :)

  2. Thanks zooey. Didn't realize that you wrote this a month back. The only period dramas I've seen are Emma BBC 2009 version, Pride and Prejudice 1995, and North & South. I haven't seen the others, but anything Elizabeth Gaskell wrote I am willing to watch. If only I'll be given the time, that is. I did already start on my N&S recap and review, I just haven't got the time to finish it. I also haven't finished reading the book yet.
